Dear Scouts & Parents,
Lots to tell so here we go:
Thanks to all the Webelos 2 and their parents for coming to the meeting on Tuesday night. We hope you liked what you saw.
APRIL 1ST, THERE IS NO MEETING: The troop meeting will be swim night on Friday, April 4. See below for more details.
SWIM NIGHT: April 4th is swim night at Klinger Middle School from 6 to 9 PM. This is a Friday night. VERY IMPORTANT: All Webelos 2 crossing over into the troop MUST ATTEND swim night, as well as any scout that joined the troop late in the year. If you aren't there, then you will not be able to go on the canoe camping trip in May. The rest of the troop is invited to come for free swim and games.

if you are going. APRIL 15TH IS THE DUE DATE FOR FULL PAYMENT FOR SUMMER CAMP OF $315.00.

. There are 2 spots left at Blue Ridge, if you would like to go. We are also looking for adults (dads) to go to Ockanickon for the week of July 20-26. Please see an adult leader for more info.
RESSICA FALLS: Sign ups for the April camping trip will start on April 8th and close on April 15th. All scouts are encouraged to go!!! Our newly crossed over Webelos 2 will be joining the troop for their first campout. The trip is April 18-20.
BLUE RIDGE, NEW RIVER ADVENTURE: Please see Mr. Noonan if you are interested in participating in this adventure at Blue Ridge.
FAMILY LIFE MERIT BADGE, EAGLE REQUIRED: The next meeting for this badge is Thursday, March 27, 2008, from 7 to 8:30 PM, at Mr. Goldstein's house. Please be prompt.
RAILROAD MERIT BADGE: Open to all scouts in the troop and the meetings will begin soon. More info to follow.
PUBLIC SPEAKING MERIT BADGE: Rob Dash (Eagle Scout of Troop 147) will be teaching this merit badge. It is open to scouts who are 15 and older and Star and above. Sign ups continue and time and dates to follow.
PHILMONT: Make sure you have put in your deposit of $50.00 for this trip or you won't be guaranteed a spot on the crew of 2009. Please see Mrs. Sabo and take care of this. Your name on the list doesn't count.

PINEWOOD DERBY: The derby will be held sometime next month. Cars are on sale for $3.00. If you would like to get started and need a car, please see Mrs. Sabo.
CONSERVATION PROJECT: Mr. Filmyer is offering scouts who would like to complete a conservation project for the camping merit badge. This will take place during the Ressica Falls camping trip in April. The project will take about an hour and a half and follow the hike. Please contact Mr. Filmyer at

NICK GRANADOS, EAGLE SCOUT CANDIDATE: Nick will be doing his Eagle Scout Project sometime in April. He needs scouts to sign up for his project. His project is collecting pool items for Bethanna for boys and young men. More info to follow in April. HINT, HINT: Service hours for new scouts and newly crossed over Webelos 2.
